It´s been a while since my last update, but i was veeeery busy.

So here is a Small Summary of what i did in the last few months:

Currently I´m working on a 3D-Stereo conversion job at TRIXTER. The project will end the next week.. but since it´s work in progress I can´t tell you more about it.

We finished to work on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. We had a bunch of shots that we converted from 2D into 3D-Stereo. It was a lot of work in a short amount of time.. but in the end everybody was happy with the result.

In cooperation with TRIXTER and 3D-Boutique GmbH I was a Tutor for 1 month at 3D Boutique teaching my class following topics:

Introduction to Visual Effects, Compositing Concepts, Compositing with The Foundry Nuke, Introduction to 3D-Stereo conversion

It was a really cool experiance for me and Iwill do it again if there will be some chance in the future.

Lilly The Witch 2: The Journey to Mandolan is finally done.
I was working on that show for like 6 months or more. It was a great experiance for me working on a show from beginning to the end. In total we worked on estimated 380 shots.

Finally I´m now an AnimationMentor student. For now it is a great experiance to learn in this great Community.

As soon as I have something that is worth to look at .. I will post it on the website.

I missed it to post it earlier. But here it is!!! An Interview with Alessandro Cioffi (VFX Supervisor at TRIXTER Film in Munich) talking about the work at TRIXTER for James McTeigue´s Ninja Assassin.

Yesterday I was navigating on the 11secondclub.com forum and I found a nice videotutorial from Doron Meir that shows the advantage to plan Animation-shots in a Stepped mode and then go on to smooth the Animation out.

Because the Videotutorial is splitted in 6 Youtube videos i put them all togheter so it is easyer for you to watch them.

Lee Stanahan is a Filmmaker, Writer, Photographer who writes for the Huffington Post. He has Crafted an Open Letter to James Cameron. This is a must read.

If you liked Avatar the movie you should watch this. In This 22min. "Making of" James Cameron and his Crew explain how they worked to get the movie done. I think it is very impressiv how much work they´ve done to get the best out of it and to finally create this stunning world.

I know i´m not really up to date with this but i was busy this week. I just wanted to tell you, for those who still don´t know it yet, The Foundry has put a lot of new Video-Tutorials online for their compositing software NUKE.

If you are new to NUKE and you want to get in touch with the Software BUT feel to lazy to read the manual... then you schould definitely take your time and watch the Videos.
